Well i found that if i remove the headphone plug in and out of the adaptor really fast I can trigger my phone to call some one. Also that after I cancel this call it seems to work.
Also if I unplug the headphones and reinsert them very slowly it seems to pick it up better then if I jam it in. Maybe something new .. maybe not Just something I found. Bluetooth works fine.

it would be great if ...

For all the people responding to this thread can you please include a link or some type of description of which adapter you are using that is working or not working ALONG with which rom you are using?

This will really help those of us who are troubleshooting this issue.

thanks!

3.16 - OEM headphones work, BT works, but the OEM USB/2.5mm splitter doesn't work.

Soft resets don't have any effect. I first noticed it when trying to route the TeleNav voice thru my car audio. I know the splitter works fine, because I used it right before the flash to 3.16.

Anybody know if the headphones rely on the same pin-out as the splitter?

Edit: using stock Sprint customizations and stock audiopara.csv

Ditto

3.16 and the OEM USB/2.5mm splitter with a wired headset is causing me all sorts of problems. I get a redial of the last called number just by plugging in the headset. And then it will keep calling the last number over and over again even after a reset. As long as I don't use a headset the phone is fine.

I use both the stock headsets and the stock 2.5mm adapter with the extra mini-USB port, and they both work flawlessly. I am using 3.16 with the new and improved audiopara.csv and I let sprint customizations run.

I accidently broke one earbud of my headphones so what I did was cut off the earbuds and soldered on a 3.5 mm headphone female plud. I prefer it to any asaptor because I can talk on it too

My OEM splitter stopped working as soon as I put on the 3.16 rom so I bought this one

It works without issue.
