This will shed some light if the 1.47.01 radio is at fault. It has been the issue with a few people including myself.
After setting the phone to roaming only, I did notice that the attenna didnt automatically reset. However after doing a soft reset the phone did work in roaming mode. My phone had an issue automatically switching modes when the setting is changed. This only worries me because living in Chicago when we go in the subway our sprint phones bum off of U.S. Cellular's underground towers. I dont know how easy that will be if the unit wont even switch signals when asked to.

I'm about ready to re-flash back to the 2.16 rom with the 1.40 radio. Too many problems with 2.17, between D-pad, random lock ups, and other miscellaneous gremlins.

I flashed to 2.17 with the sprint junk. I did the hard reset. I had problems right away. The next day I did the roam only but didn't get the triangle. Had no problems until I tried opera 4 mini. Opera locked up all of the times. I uninstalled opera and install the cloudyf jbed and then installed opera. The phone has been working great. Faster, better battery and the keyboard is working in Live Search. I rarely use bluetooth so I can't talk about that. I also run taskmanager, HTC home, phoneweaver

Installed 2.17 about 5 days ago and allowed customizations to run. Running the following with no issues noted:

threaded SMS
PocketInformant
FlexMail
eWallet
Touch Large Start Menu
Total Commander
PHM RegEdit
Oxios
MemMaid
WkTask
Sprite Backup

I have not done any reg tweaks

Regarding bluetooth, my Moto H700 works just as well as it did before and my new Jawbone also works and its better than the H700. Volume is acceptable for my use

Battery life is better. I left Bluetooth on all day yesterday for the first time. I think my headset was connected for about 2.5 hrs of that...the rest of the time BT was just idling. Unplugged the phone at 6:30am and had 40% remaining at 6:00pm. That's with Exchange mail pushing all day, about 30 minutes of talk time, a little data usage and about 10 text messages. In past experience that kind of usage with BT on all day would have had my Mogul pleading for its charger when I arrived home.

One oddity...for some reason a couple of .lnk shortcuts refuse to show up under Programs and are not available to be added to my Start Menu. Notably these are Calendar, Tasks and Bubble Breaker (under Games). I have verified that the shortcuts are in the Windows/Start Menu/Programs directory. Haven't figured that one out yet...might try a hard reset if all else fails.

I flashed 4 days ago. My phone no longer locks up after I roam but my BT headset (plaintronics 520) still does not sound clear at times. I had the 216 update and the bt was atleast clear then (however it would just randomly turn off).
BT still has issues!!!!

My battery life was greatly improved after the 216 update. It is maybe even a little better now with the 217 update.

Overall the 217 is a good update but the BT still needs tweaked!!

I think someone in this thread or the other 2.17 thread (i'm too lazy to go back and look) mentioned something about unable to pair the mogul running 2.17 with their bluetooth GPS.

I'm also unable to pair mine. It says something to the effect of "connection failed or passkey incorrect". And I *know* the passkey is correct (it's 0000).
