What benefit does PRL 60611 have over 60610. I am not having any lock ups or tower issues, does it do anything extra?

Good question!

A PRL update simply tells your phone which cell sites to use wherever you are. as the networks evolve the PRLs change in order to grow and adapt with them.

Generally its a good idea to update your PRL. You will need your MSL if you wish to do it manually.

Glad to see the PRL update working for some people...it's really weird, on a couple of occasions since the 2.17 ROM, I have actually seen the triangle. Must be a fluke though, cuz' most of the time it is roaming, it isn't there.

Loaded the new rom. Had challenges recovering contacts but almost there. BUG FOUND so far. When scrolling with slider (right side of screen) through contact list once you stop and let up on the bar the list reverts back to where the highlighted entry is forcing you to use the center thumb bar to scroll down to where you want to be to access a contact. Annoying. Plantronics 655R bluetooth working fine so far.

Update to 60611 and still have some kind of roaming issue. When I change from "automatic" to "Roaming only", somehow the phone couldn't find any service and the phone all the sudden become super slow (near locking). When I check the setting, the phone setting get changed to "sprint only" and refuse to be modified. Soft reset does the job, and it will go to "roaming only" with services. However, if I try to switch back, I will run into the same issue. Never had these issue with 2.09 rom.

I notice without the roaming triangle, data service will remain "ON" while roaming. That's fine for UA since data roaming is free, but does anybody know what will happen if I go to Canada where data roaming is not free? I want to be able to use the phone without data charges in Canada.

stupid flight mode is now active if you hit end twice. what retard thought of that....

i've been having callers complain about my bt!!!! i installed SPB phone suite and plus hopefully that isn't the problem....

Thanks for the info! So this is like the *228 from Verizon to update the phone with the latest and greatest of where the cell towers are. Great!! Thanks for again for the help.

Not sure if anyone else has this problem but I was hoping that in the new ROM that they would fix the voicemail bug. If I have more than one voicemail it only displays Voicemail: 1 unread. Why can't it display how many voicemails you have? Am I missing something? Does anyone know of a fix?

I just ran a few experiments with my Mogul and couldn't reproduce that. Thank goodness, 'cuz I'm with ya'! That would piss me off!

If you press and hold the end key it automatically invokes flight mode.

Sounds like you were holding the key too long, not necessarily the fact that you hit it 2x.
