I like how you put that and you are exactly right.

I had to do that with my first Mogul

I thought the Mogul sucked too, until I dropped my first one. When I broke my first phone (beyond repair) and got my insurance replacement from Sprint, all of my reset woes ended. I got another Mogul, and have not had to reset it ONE TIME in 3 weeks. Before that, I was having to reset 2 times each day (sometimes more). I was ready to return the phone and replace with a Treo (I'm glad I didn't).

New ROM end of November - CONFIREMD

Hot off the presses and straight from the horses mouth... not from some phone rep... but instead from the actual group at Sprint that develops and works on the handsets.

http://forums.buzzaboutwireless.com/...thread.id=2262

"Sprint and HTC regret any inconvenience customers have recently experienced with the Mogul. HTC is working on a new version of the software ROM for the Mogul which incorporates enhancements for Bluetooth performance and corrects issues that were unintentionally created by ROM version 2.16.651.0 (posted on HTC’s website on October 24). Both Sprint and HTC have begun testing the new software and are targeting to make it available for download by the end of November. Once fully tested the download will be made available at: http://www.america.htc.com/support/m...downloads.html

As a short-term solution, customers who downloaded the ROM version 2.16 should download the previous ROM version 2.09.651.3 available at the link above. This will restore previous functionality to the device until a new version is complete.

Additionally, HTC is currently developing a separate ROM update which enables the EV-DO Rev. A and GPS capabilities that are already built into the Mogul hardware. Sprint and HTC plan to make this software ROM available in early 1Q 2008. We would also like to extend our thanks to those customers that have taken the time to identify and report these issues to us."

You figure they would have done it in one ROM, so we wouldnt have to loose all of our programs twice after installing these fixes.

That would make sense, but I look at this way: They know they broke the sucker. They gotta fix it before more and more customers keep asking for Touches. Plus, Rev A is not totally up to Sprint to implement... Microsoft is involved here at the OS level. So nothing happens until M$ makes a move on this.

Everything seems to be playing out according to the intel I've been gathering. Hopefully no one will drop the ball at this point, but I think Sprint is finally getting the message. I hope.

I hope so too. I'm wondering how early they will have the 2nd ROM done? I might as well wait on that. I still have 2.16 on my device and I dont have to many issues.

I dont think i have the new updates... not sure. but my phone has encountered issues where it will get a message notification and wont stop vibrating! I have to restart the whole damn thing! there were some other issues after I first got it, but I havent noticed them since.
