Ok now back to the topic.....Ok now I purchased my mogul in july...july 3rd to be exact. I want another phone period. I dont care if they give me the same phone again this first batch of moguls i think sucked in my opinion. Sometimes the stupid phone just vibrates and will not cut off unless i take the battery out. I have been to two sprint stores and they say it was my fault it doesnt work because i put 3rd party applications on the phone. I say thats B.S and they should honor MY insurance that i have for the phone.

now for all of those who want to trade a mogul for i touch i dont see why anyone would want to do that. trade a 400 dollar phone for what a 300-350 dollar phone? do you think that sprint will refund the extra 100 to 50 dollar diffrence in the two phones? I think not...o and by the way i forgot to mention that some how one of my 2gb memory cards burned out..and know one knows at sprint how that happened.

Second how are you all going about getting replacements for your phone even if your just getting another mogul?

thanks J.G

What sprint store are you going to??? The one close to me NEVER has given problems regarding my Mogul. If I drop my phone and it breaks, they replace it no questions asked. I have the insurance on my account and never had to pay out of pocket for a replacement or anything. I inquired about replacing my Mogul for a Touch (just to see what they would say) and they didn't have a issue with it (would have been free of charge). I also didn't pay for my Mogul it was a replacement for my broken 6700. I guess it all depends on who helps you and how their day has been going LOL

Hey Steps i live in the chicago land area....and when i am at school i am at the university of Illinois.....

Wish my luck was as good as yours they give me crap everywhere i go.
I emailed sprints ecare people about five hours ago. they replied and said that they needed my account information and that they would get back to me.

Its so funny because about an hour ago i recived a text message and next thing i know my phone is vibrating and it wont stop (once again) so you kno what i did? i went got my camera and recorded it sound and everything so now if they need proof im going to email the video to them about it constantly vibrating unless i take out the battery.

Wish me luck.
I still have not decided if i want to exchange it for the touch or go with another mogul I love the ps keyboard as i am a advid txter and write my notes for class with it so we will see i would rather get another mogul only becuase i paid the full 399.99 for the phone as it was an upgrade in july.

Email from sprint ecare....

Quote:
Dear Bryan,

Thank you for contacting Sprint. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you have experienced due to the problems you are facing with your PCS Phone and delay in replying. There was a problem with the delivery system causing a delay in our response time.

I understand that the your PCS Phone is not working properly and is having a lot of problems. We have came across a lot of complains about the software of HTC Mogul and the manufacturer's are working diligently on it. So be assured that all the issues with the software of the phone will be corrected by the manufacturer by November 28, 2007.

There is also a possibility that there is a problem in the handset which you are having. So to check the problem with the phone, we need to perform few diagnostic tests on your PCS Phone, which is not possible through email.

A physical check is only possible by visiting a Sprint Store. Our in-store technician will be glad to perform all the required tests on your PCS Phone to resolve the issue. If the problem can be rectified, it will be done immediately at the store within your visit.

However, if a new phone is required, the manufacturer will replace it as your PCS Phone is covered under the one-year manufacturer's warranty and battery is covered under it. So, I personally recommend you to visit a Sprint Store near your current location.

You can locate a Sprint Store near you by clicking on the hyperlink given below:

http://www.sprintstorelocator.com

I also noticed that you have Total Equipment Protection plan active on your account. So you can also get the handset replaced under the Insurance Program also. For this please contact Asurion at (800) 584-3666. However the handset can be replaced with the same model which you posses currently.

Again, I do apologize for the long response time and hope you were not inconvenienced as a result.

Thank you again for emailing us, it was a pleasure serving you. Please feel free to write back if you have any further questions. I will be more than happy to assist you.

Have a great day!

Anjelina J.

Well, in the mean time, check out my thread our custom firmware fix.

It works, good BT quality, doesn't freeze or turn off. Plus, Sprint makes unreasonable projected dates all the time, so I wouldn't keep my fingers crossed for an official fix so soon, especially when we've already quoted them on "early 2008"...
