As I was saying , a new post on the 6800 thread on Ho FO . #871
A VZW B2B said in an email to the poster that her company website (VZW)
said the approval for the 6800 would come down on 11/9/07.
She also said no price or release date at this time.
Now that is the 5th different story by a B2B rep in two days.

Well, call me a penny pincher, but now that I'm using a new rom made from the new kitchen, my 6700 is rock solid! Why spend the money?

This is an internal document that was leaked this summer.

I had someone pull up this spreadsheet today and next to the xv6800 release date, it is now blank.

I bet the marketing director has a date on his calender.
A B2B rep said that on the VZW company website there was
info that said there was a decision to be made on the phone today.

Note from my IT manager who was talking with a Vz rep Friday, 6800 delayed until Q1 2008 due to more testing. Tends to fit in line with the mysterious disappearance of information of late. Also been noting that the Mogul has had a lot of BT stack issues and they are looking at a fix by Q1.

Delaying until after the holiday season? If that's true, than Verizon must be having some MAJOR problems with the phone.
Any minor issue wouldn't stop them from pushing for the extra sales they'd get before Christmas.

Alternatives to the 6800?

I've been waiting for the 6800 for a while. I need to upgrade my phone now. Currently have the treo 600. Can anyone suggest an alternate phone to the 6800 that is currently out and has the same features? Any other phones about to be launched before Christmas? Thanks.
