I work in a VZW call center and we have some documentation on this already and no mention of Video conferencing is in this documentation. I'm the IT guy not a phone tech but I have access to new products and stuff by default.

I looked real hard for the VidCon.

Post on PDAphonehome.com last night.
The poster was in a meeting with the Reps from Nokia,Samsung, HTC ,
and the rest of the major phone makers.
He talked with the HTC rep about the Vogue and the 6800.
The HTC rep told him the 6800 would be released on Black Friday.

I'd love to see that, but with the online people not having any information about it, I'm sceptical. They've always gotten all product info 30 days prior to soft launch and they still have nada.

I heard Black Friday from my store too. I know one thing, I can wait till monday.

Yeah ,I can too. I've got a like-new 6700 Wm6 that works great so I can
wait it out.

How does the HTC rep know the release date when no one at vzw does?

Also, sorry if I missed something but what are you waiting until Monday for? Is there supposed to be an announcement or something?

verizonguy, why does every CSR and B2B Rep have a different answer
about the 6800 release? If they don't know why don't they just say that
instead of making up something to tell the customer. They (VZW) don't
trust the B2B reps enough to keep them in the loop? I surely would trust
a salesperson that had the guts to say I don't know, rather than lie to me.

Anything new on the Vogue?

Also , I noticed all the online stores that sell the 6700 are having clearance
sales on them. I wonder why?

I think he was saying he didn't want to mess with the crowds on Black Friday
and will do his buying the following Monday.

As for the HTC rep - - - How would I know where he gets his info. I would
assume VZW would keep the HTC people in the loop since they made the
phone.
I was just passing along a post. I didn't say it came from VZW headquarters.

No I know, don't shoot the messenger....I'm just saying there's a lot of rumor and nothing solid...it's all he said she said unfortunately...so you can't believe anything anyone is saying at this point because it's all over the map...

N E W S F L A S H - - - -
Anything that you read that is posted on any of these sites concerning
the release date of the XV 6800 is going to a lie or rumor because the
VZW people don't tell the truth when the customers ask them a question.
All you will hear from now until the phone finally releases will be rumors
and/or opinions.
