Re: HD2 I'm not sold...
Sprintgirl i know you work for sprint and you probably treat your customers with much more respect than most reps, but isnt your oppinion a little bias? Not everyone will be sad they left sprint. I left verizon and am as happy as can be with tmobile now. They always are happy on the phone, extremly helpful, they ask about how good the rep did helping. Sprint CS needs to take some lessons along with a few verizon techs The evo will be great for those who want android, but not everyone wants to go with android. I love the fact that wm has so many options and the option to run android also!

Re: HD2 I'm not sold...
There is no way in hell id leave sprint to go to tmobile for a phone. I have a sprint line and a tmobile line and live in a major metro area... and half the time my tmobile line doesnt even have service. As I type this im sitting here with both phones side by side, my tmobile phone has 1 bar and is on edge while my sprint has 4 on 3g. Everything about the evo is better than the HD2 IMO...winmo is slow and dated... even with the snapdragon I played around with it in the store and the phone froze twice.
Honestly android 2.1 is already better than winmo for what suits my needs... reliability, functionality and speed..and before now didnt need a snapdragon processor just to do it. Not to mention the voice to text....voice translation...and google sync. HD2 is ok but I really wasnt impressed.. just felt like a little faster version of the touch pro 2 since there really werent any upgrades to the OS at all. |

Simply put, the HD2 is the best phone on the market right now. . .especially using your criteria of reliability, functionality and speed. If you aren't in a good area for a particular carrier then obviously that will shape your opinion, but don't project your carrier experience to a phone. Here's the bottom line, I switched to TMobile and I am very happy I did it. TMobile store manager and sales rep were great to work with and they made it extremely easy to get out of the Sprint network with a better phone and better customer service. |

Re: HD2 I'm not sold...
tmobile on the touch pro2 was okay (even on a network with 2g restriction) but the touch hd2 is a great price. tmobile 3g in chicago is pretty good (till you hit downtown but even sprint and vzw had some issues in those areas)
id go with it. the evo is 4g sure and android but i guess it depends on the user at this point. Sent from my XDANDROID using Tapatalk

Ummm NO... I will NOT be buying any windows phones. Nothing i've seen in any preview or spec sheet show me anything i'd even consider taking another windows phone over android. Been on winmo since the mogul but the bottom line is 6.5 is dated... do people even develop for winmo anymore???? Damn sure doesnt seem like it. And honestly, the HD2 isnt better than the nexus either it just has a bigger screen. |

Re: HD2 I'm not sold...
Okay this thread is getting a little mean...everybody needs a tampon...and some wisdom..
__ The Nexus One, The EVO, and The HD2... FACT: The HD2 is a quote "better" phone than either the Nexus one or the EVO. This is because of the higher amount of ram, and 1gb of rom memory. It has DOUBLE the rom memory of the Nexus one and around 50 more megabytes of ram than the EVO. The ONLY thing the EVO has on the HD2 is the back camera is 3 megapixels higher(who cares...5mp means the picture is over 2000x2000 pixels...you're not a professional photographer, therefore you don't need more than that. I however am a professional photographer and I'm telling you that unless you're taking these pictures to get developed or working on them in Lightroom or Photoshop then your 8mp camera is a completely useless feature. The phone does not have a good lens therefore cannot take advantage of how sharp 8mp can be, because a bad lense with no depth of field cannot focus on anything very well. Digital auto focus is good enough for a phones digital camera, but that speaks to my point that an 8mp is unnecessary. The photos on your EVO will look EXACTLY the same as the photos on my HD2, if you think any different you don't know how a camera works. ) And about the front facing camera EVO AND THE TOUCH PRO 2 ARE THE ONLY PHONES WITH FRONT FACING CAMERAS, so have fun video chatting with..nobody. HD2 WIN Oh yeah and tmobile will have 4g by summertime ^^^^THIS IS CLEARLY HD2 VS. EVO....NOT WINMO VS. ANDROID I ONLY MENTION THE PHONES HERE Last edited by JQuill; 04-10-2010 at 09:32 PM. |
