Yes it's humongous (notice the spelling ) but incredibly thin. The screen is 800*480 which is about the best resolution you can get today. But given how large it is (4.3 inches diagonal), the pixel density is much lower than for instance a Diamond which has a 2.8 inch screen at 640*480. The math is plain to see. What phone you choose is up to you. Buy it if you like it, don't buy it because of the hype. That's what the jesusphone is for. Also - the task manager is easily added, takes a few seconds. That's just for the default one. There are plenty of other options that more finger-friendly as well if you're so inclined. I don't recommend this phone for anyone that's not a compulsive tweaker or power user, which you don't seem to be based on my (admittedly limited) first impression. PS - Not trying to hate |

Re: HD2 I'm not sold...
i do like to tweak n flash but im not psycho bout it try everything once...but besides the point. not trying to be judgemental here...but...seems a little like a waste of phone (kinda like the instinct hd but not as bad). not looking for ppl to bash my opinion and not trying to be convinced to buy one (not happening) just would like for someone to explain the positives and the why would i buy this factor. i guess from a sales perspective who is my target? blind ppl who need a giant screen? (lol sorry but i had to say it). i liked the live wallpaper and yes...any htc product is deemed quality in my book but i must admit i am perplexed as to the idea behind production. Did the designers get drunk one night and say hey....i have an idea...lets make it huge! bigger is better! the software is pretty much whats already out there on other phones...so i guess my overall question is WHY?

Again, the answer is simple - biggest possible screen in the most efficient form factor with the smallest bezel and least wasted space. The most powerful processor and highest amount of usable memory in ANY smartphone today. Sounds like an easy win to me. What exactly is it that you're trying to be convinced of if it's not to buy one? I don't get it.. PS - If the "live wallpaper" is the 1 highlight that stands out for you, this is definitely not the right choice for you Good luck! |
