is there a method for the new version? my wife just got one and I want to root hers.

First we need to find out what version her phone is, what version the software is, and which hboot she has.

1. Got to Menu/Settings/About Phone, select hardware info and at top find hardware version.
2. Got to Menu/Settings/About Phone, select software info find software number.
3. Power off phone, now continuing to hold the volume down button press the power on button to enter boot loader, and on the second line from the top it should say HBOOT-and a number, this is your hboot version.

With this info we can give you the best and easiest way to root the phone.

With your numbers you should have no problem running unrevoked to root, just goto unrevoked and follow the instructions.

My recommend is that you get fully rooted and install Sprint Lover's Rom. It is nearly a stock Rom of the latest update that is very clean. You can play with other Rom after that but SL is an excellent starting point since you won't encounter new.

My recommendation is to lay it flat on the side walk.crazy glue it preffered. Then go to the roof of your building and tear the door off and sledge hammer the entrace to a diameter of 6 feet. Go to your local grand majestic piano reseller and ask the to sell you thw biggest heaviest grand piano thet can provide. Purchase it. Go back home and have a crane company delivery the piano to the roof. Once dilivered, put skate boards on all the legs of thw piano. The when its ready to push, tie a rope to one of the legs of the grand piano and tie the other end to your ankle. Then, to the count of 3... Heave! Aim for the center of the screen.
