Re: Just got my EVO
I looked at the EVO and EPIC and went with what I felt would work best for me. Too each there own and quit riding someones decision just because it doesn't match yours.
I got most of my contacts moved over already. The Gmail option was a really nice touch and it updates very fast.

Re: Just got my EVO
I don't know if anyone answered your "root" question, but just go to google and put in Unrevoked 3... it is a one click root method. All of the posts you are seeing are days of old where you had to do a lot to get full root access. This is fast. I had hardware 001 initially and did the long method root...that one was damaged and I was issued one that was hardware version 0003. I did Unrevoked and it was a snap.
Make sure you write down or remember your google email address you created for your google/android phone.... if you root or update or anything you will need this email address and password to keep your contacts. I updated my sister's phone and she didn't remember her email address (didn't tell me until after it was done) and she had to start over w/inputing her contacts. If you already forgot, just go to your gmail app and send an email to yourself or someone else so you will have your email address. |

Re: Just got my EVO
Unrevoked doesn't work on the latest software or Hboot 2.02 so if is phone is brand new or hardware 004 he will need a different root method.
