They probably built in some code that could recover if it tries to update the radio twice.

Re: All Discussions regarding the OTA update (Sprint re-released the update - 6/29)

Yesterday the old update bricked my phone, so tonight I updated my shiny new replacement evo with some trepidation, and it went off without a hitch! I haven't had it updated long enough to know what it has improved but it definitely fixed my grounding issues.

Here is a htc download link for the updated update for those that haven't gotten the notification to update. Lipidfats, maybe you can put this in your post on the first page.

Re: All Discussions regarding the OTA update (Sprint re-released the update - 6/29)

404 error on that link.

I got a notification for the update while taking a nap and I hit no. But now when I goto check for firmware update it wont find the update. Been trying all day, on Wifi and/or 3g. Any ideas?

Per OR7S on the last page- He said that you are up to date if you updated fine on the 28th.

If everything is working fine...don't mess with the new one. Like they say, if it ain't broke..don't fix it. I'm glad this happened before I get my Evo...Atleast I know when I get mine...in about a month...it will already have this OTA update applied...Now if any others come out...I'll wait a few days to update it. Same thing with PS3 and Xbox 360 updates..never download them right when they come out...they tend to do the same thing to the consoles...but yeah word of advice...wait it out a day or two to see if every goes fine...
