Re: Two versions of Evos

I have version 002 and my battery drains very fast but I am thinking it is because of the power of the phone. I turned down the brightness and seem to get a lot better battery life. My brightness level is almost down all the way and I still see the display perfectly.

I can drain the entire battery after taking 3 or 4 videos and some surfing.

On the brightness thing...Our city has a festival every year called Riverbend. I was sitting there watching Sheryl Crowe on Friday night and looked at the phone...display turned on because I had just looked up something about her on Wikipedia...

Anyway I laughed because a moth was sitting on the screen I assume because it was attracted to the bright screen. Made me think of that commercial with the bugs hitting the screen. lol

One thing I have noticed is that I get more dropped calls with the EVO vs the Touch Pro 2.

Re: Two versions of Evos

0002 build. slight screen lift all the way across the bottom. Best Buy Seidio case covers it up, so not really an issue unless it gets much worse or starts getting crap under the screen. Would have never noticed it if I hadn't read this thread and looked for it.

Re: Two versions of Evos

Version 003, picked up at Sprint store on launch morning. Battery is comparable to TP2, and call quality could be better. Notice that USB charging is actually faster than it was on TP2

Re: Two versions of Evos

I have Version 0002 and at first battery wouldn't last 4 hours off the charger. Now, with unrevoked root and OC Widget installed, I get about 18-20 hours of battery life on a single charge with moderate to heavy usage. No light leaking through the bottom and no other complaints except I hardly get any work done because I'm playing with the phone so much. LoL

Re: Two versions of Evos

VERSION 003 HERE-----light leak all four bottom buttons but it doesnt matter bc i must look at extreme angle to see it, i would never use the phone in that manner what so ever so its not a problem. however my battery sucks like a 1.5 dollar hooker in a reccession , i swear i MAY get 4 hours out of it, constantly charging the device, i can hardlly make it to lunch time at work with out having to plug it up in the car---WHHHHHY!!! then i noticed this morning there was a hairline fracture in the glass covering the back camera lense---i baby this freakin thing!!! wtf happened?? did i breath to hard on it when i first got it?? i think i got one of the grab bag builds--i swear i love this phone---great screen fast and snappy OS but the battery sucks, the battery door cover is perfect as well as the glass on screen so i basiclly have a mixed bag of rights and wrongs lol, im taking it in for an exchange today, its a gamble but hopefully ill get a good one with no cracks in lens, and a batterylife that i can be proud to post!! ill share the news later
