Re: Two versions of Evos

If your battery has not charged and discharged 4 to 5 times, then your battery is not a it's peak performance.

yeah i did everything you posted---oh by the way thanks so much for all the great tips---but unfortunately nothing worked, still had poor battery life and all prior mentioned problems, i think mine was one that just could not be helped, i had every setting turned off, nothing auto synced unless i did it manually, no friendstream, plus set to auto CDMA prl ---everything you can throw at me i did it, the phone just looked at me and said "sorry bro, dont taize me!" then it proceeded to die again lol---as a club and event promoter i NEED good battery life, this however is sad my friend----im headed to sprint store now for the exchange, keep your fingers crossed for me, lets hope i get a good egg.

we are both in same boat. Mine is the 0002 version and I've tried all the fixes and with-in 7 hours of light internet use, a few emails and text, with no 4g, auto sync. friend stream or anything my phone is in the red. I think I need a new batery.

Re: Two versions of Evos

Hardware version: 0002 here and I was seeing some minor light leakage under the buttons at the bottom of the phone (no lifting). I have fixed the light leak and will be posting a guided tutorial with photos tomorrow morning on how to do this.

Re: Two versions of Evos

I pretty much use my phone for everything, texts, email, music media but during the day mainly just texts and promotion stuff because i do event planning and club promotion-----very lite phone use as far as calls until about a week outfrom an event but that kind of use should not yield only 4-5 hours battery life, i just did an exchange today bc of a crack in the glass over the rear camera, they were pretty easy on me. checked the version and its a 003 , checked for light leak that is not present and the screen is not lifted anywhere so physically there is nothing wrong with it, but the real test is the battery life of this new unit, i am currently killing the battery fully then doing the full charge on off trick and seeing exactly what comes of it. i will report back ASAP.

i just did an exchange at the sprint store and have another 003, im crossing my fingers on this one, so far everything physically looks great, none of the prior mentioned defects---note--the rep told me that this shipment just came in today so im really hoping i will get a good one this time, other than that i love the EVO, i cant ask for a better device that i use for buisiness as well as regular entertainment. i will let you guys know what happens. thanks for all the tips
