Re: Two versions of Evos

I have the 0003 version, no problems, I get like 15 hours of battery life, no crashing, no screen problems, nothing. I'm running a zagg body cover, and I've rooted and I've installed the basic apps.

Re: Two versions of Evos

0002, No issues. I got the phone Friday, so I have yet to use the on an actual business day. I was at our families lake house, and the 3g signal was poor-marginal, the battery half dead after a half day, but I was doing a lot of surfing and getting to know the phone(a couple hours at a time).

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 2.1-update1; en-us; PC36100 Build/ERE27) AppleWebKit/530.17 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile Safari/530.17)

I exchanged evo ver 2 because the earpiece sounds like its blown and got a ver 3 phone same problem. Hoping ver 4 will be better . Battery life seemed worse for me ver 2.

Note: calling your voicemail is a good test.

Re: Two versions of Evos

I have Evo 0003 and I did notice until I saw the Engadget post that there is a slight light leak near the search button.

Re: Two versions of Evos

Version 0002 for me. Using my TP2 battery with Japanese cells instead of the stock one for now (no performance difference yet), no issues with the phone at all.

I can't even believe this man, grounding...lag, lights staying on, light leaking...did we buy the same phone?...

For the record, unless your phone is on standby for 15 hours...there's NO WAY it can last that long. I don't care what anyone says. One guy posted 24hrs?...uhh, did you make sure you disconnected it from the nuclear power plant it's connected to? Let's be real, 1500mah @ 3.7v is NOT that much...all things considered (LCD, cpu, etc. etc.) Don't throw stupid numbers out there without posting screen shots of the battery usage info screen. Seriously.

On a lighter note...2 0003's one with "light leakage" so little that I had to turn the lights off in the room and cover the screen to notice. Other than that...no problems what-so-ever.

Re: Two versions of Evos

0003 with no issues. Had mine off the charger today for 10 hours with moderate internet and game usage and about 5 phone calls under 5 mins.

Re: Two versions of Evos

I have both and the only difference I see is the 003 power button is flushed and harder to press than the 002. Its a noticeable difference.
