The droid can handle them very well but not the evo ticks me off... and the ds and psp comments are childish as well, isnt that we try to have the best smartphones to cover most our needs wthout extra devices? Following your train of thought i can say

why should it browse the web? Thats what my laptop is for

gps isnt important, thats why i have my tomtom

Music? Thats dumb, what are ipods for?

Personally i can wait for a fix or a ota addresing the issue since its not that big of a deal to me, but not everyones use for the device is your own...
Well said. I WONT get sucked in a argument because they feel I am childish for pointing out the truth. THIS is exactly what happened when the 6800,tilt, touch, touch 2 and the rest of the MS72xx devices. People got then and alot of the buyers were angry because they ran on Software instead of hardware accelaration. Alot sweared never to but Htc until they give us our moneys worth rather than cripple the Imigeon chipset.I was on of them.People were happy to hear that Htc moved away from the Ms7200 and picked up snapdragon cpu's. Now here we are with the new gen cpu and even the 1st gen iphone still performs alot better. So hear we are again. The buyers refuse to hear the truth since they shelled out alot money. So no matter what flaws people point on on tge Evo, the buyers will insult the critics and swear up and down how its flawless. I dont blame them thou, if I paid alot of money for a ppc, Id defend my purchase aswell to keep me in denial. hehe

Re: Evo= Another crippled htc device?

Thanks for the legitimate info mike. I couldn't get a clear answer with all the fanboys shouting idiocies, as I have similar concerns as the op. I've been a wino guy since I've owned smart phones, but since purchasing my ipad I realize ios has come far enough for me to consider it a great phone platform, and so I've been trying to decide between either the iPhone 4, evo, droid x or wait until the fall.

If Htc still makes me root or hack shit to get my fm radio or hw acceleration working though, I'm not sure if I want to deal with that again. I'm getting to a point in my life where I don't want to have to tweak shit constantly just for it to work.

And its funny to hear people say games on a mobile device don't matter when there's a Nearly billion dollar industry just through the app store based on gaming. Thanks for the info again mike, the evo is sweet as ****, I've used my coworkers, but with these limitations in mind I think I'll just wait to decide between the iPhone or future droid models, I'd rather deal with apples rather weak and easy to subvert software limitations rather ethane htcs, and flash support for my phone is definitely not a priority for me, but again, thanks for the honest info.

Re: Evo= Another crippled htc device?

Are you seriously comparing those to the ppcgeeks bitch rooms, lol. The 1st post just sucks but its definitely not what I was talking about. The 2nd post is only one page and no one paid him any attention, that was mid may last post, and 4th post lasted less then 24hrs and only 2 pages we have a STICKY, HAHAHA. Not to mention people are still posting in there, calling customer care asking regular sprint reps to give them the exact answer, by now we know the average sprint Rep does not know what's going on and will just tell you Anything to get you out of their face or off their line. The 3d post is simple discussion with information, nothing like this BS thread. Thanks for proving my point.

And to the OP if the graphics could be better, oh well it does everything else better then what you have. Nobody's saying its perfect (doesn't even have amoled or super amoled ) but its the best right now in 90% or more of most features.

I think that if you're really unsure about what to get then you should just wait until the fall. Nothing worse than buying something and then regretting it soon after.

Honestly I could care less....but that was just a quick search...the same stuff goes on here as it does over there is all I am saying...I do agree though not as many engage it as they do here....hence you coming into complain about it...the easiest way to kill these threads is to not engage...plus I don't think he really said anything wrong....and he is correct the only ones replying to it seems are fanboys that are not going to let someone talk about their phones that they just got...those are really the only replys...the proof is their...that part of the phone is limited and HTC should get off their ass and do it right the first time...all adds to more reason why I am waiting for a new device(only reason I have been drifting into Evo threads is for insight on the device)....and then again I agree that one may not be perfect either....but the squeaky wheel does get noticed and we all know big brother watches...
