Re: HTC Sync Issues
This isn't necessarily true. ADP CAN connect through a DOS box. Make sure you have debugging mode on and your phone is connected via USB cable and you should be able to use ADB. I did last night and went through the rooting of the phone with no problems.

Re: HTC Sync Issues
You seem to be the exception and not the rule, otherwise, I don't think so many would be saying that they can't connect.

Re: HTC Sync Issues
Also, I was rooting the device last night and tried to connect after I had put back the completely clean stock ROM with nothing restored NO third-party applications restored. HTC Sync is a piece of craptastic nonsense foisted on us by HTC.
They put out an update dated 06.16.2010 and yet, NOWHERE do they enumerate what was fixed/updated or otherwise addressed. This is an example of a company NOT communicating very effectively with their customer base. Unless you call threatening ROM cooks with cease and desist orders communicating. |

Re: HTC Sync Issues
Couple of things I've noticed with mine... my SYNC is definately "buggy"... I've had to reboot my W7 machine when I can't get the thing to sync.
I've also noticed that if I kill some of the apps, (using ATK) that will cause my sync to stop working. Normally a reboot of the phone will fix it. BUT that being said if you are killing apps and have them not start at boot, one of them could be causing the issue. I haven't played around enough with it to figure out which app I'm killing causes the issue.
