Re: Root + OverclockWidget = Insane Battery Life 40+ Hours

Weird..this morning I took my phone of the charger at 9:20. Got to work at 9:30 and it was down to 97%. Was openning up apps and closing some with ADK, checked email. It's now 9:51 and my battery is at 86%. The phone has been on since I got to work. Weird.

I was reading in the other forum that the widget doesn't always display the right number, but who knows for sure unless you test the clock with some other app. I don't know, it sounded like a good find but I'm not sure it really does much.

Re: Root + OverclockWidget = Insane Battery Life 40+ Hours

i've noticed that taking my phone off the charger (after a full charge) will result in the battery torpedo-ing from 100% to 80% pretty fast (within an hour). After that, it seems to hover around there even with use. I uninstalled the overclocking widget because i don't think it works well when the phone is on (seems underclocked), and i didn't get a snapdragon phone just to underclock it. who brags about underclocking?

Re: Root + OverclockWidget = Insane Battery Life 40+ Hours

When I take mine off the charger it does drop pretty quick. Once it hits about 85% it really starts to slow down. I can very much tell that this app is working for me. Just make sure that if you are using ATK, that it is set up to ignore OverclockWidget and Superuser Permissions. I forgot to do that at first and didn't realize until I noticed that when I turned my screen back on it wasn't saying "Set new clock successful". I hope this helps!

That's because on the app you can set it at what interval to check the current frequency, by default it's set to every 60 seconds

My short test of it yesterday showed it worse and being a bit more laggy. Today is my first day without any special apps to control thing. Got rid of ATK, overclocking. The only modification I'm doing from stock is making sure not to setup the flickr account, keeping 4G and Bluetooth off when I dont' need them, and set the WiFi sleep policy to never.

Edit: Just checked. I've been off the charger for 2 hours 30 minutes, checked a couple of emails sent a text or tw and I'm at 93%. Considering whenever I take it off the charger I go to 96% or so right away I say this is looking promising.

Re: Root + OverclockWidget = Insane Battery Life 40+ Hours

What setting are ideal to keep the phone running smoothly as is but save battery life as doing so? I look on this thread no mention yet.
