that is the sprint network, it didn't do it on NRG custom roms though

Yes, there was a regedit to make it use the phone time instead of network time.

Go to HKLM\Software\OEM\SMS

Add the following DWORD value (or change it):

Name: RecvTimeStamp
DWORD Data: 1
Base: Dec

The 2016 issue came and went, but there was also the texts from the future issue when roaming.

I don't believe there are any Airave's in our building...and our building is far enough away from our neighbors here on lovely Day Hill Road in Windsor CT that I don't think it'd be due to them either...don't really know though...just know the phone says I'm roaming, and when I go outside it isn't roaming anymore.
