Email question using POP

Hey everyone, I'm a long time user of Windows Mobile and I have experience with the Mogul, Touch Pro, Touch Pro 2 however this Evo is giving me a bit of fits.

On my older phones I could set up my POP3 email accounts on the phones and when I was on the road I could download the emails. When i got home to my main computer I'd download those email to Outlook. Then the next time I checked the emails, the emails cleared from my phone because the server was empty of emails.

With the Evo, even if the server is empty I still have old emails in the box. Any reason other than that the Evo's email applications thinks it's 100% standalone? If so would I have to do IMAP on the phone to fix this issue?

I'm experiencing the same problem with my POP3 MSN mail account. I've searched everywhere, but no solutions yet.

read the hotmails/msn email threads. its a problem with POP. IMAP works fine.
