If you did and the second one didnt get read you may not have applied the mtd-eng file correctly. When the device tries to read the second file what does it say? As per the post above mine, are you sure you got the whole file? Quote:

At this point it doesnt appear that you have root. Your best option would be to start over with Toasts method. If you get errors dont just keep going, post up the errors you get. Oh and get some sleep before you try this again.

eng-PC36IMG.zip should be 170mb according to the download status message.
It downloaded a 124mb file. Strange. Check your file size. Perhaps someone could supply another mirror. I can't get this file from either posted sources today. Last edited by Raging Idiot; 07-09-2010 at 02:34 PM. |

I spent a lot of time trying to help someone else that had this same error. In the end, it turned out he had downloaded the file "eng-PC36IMG.zip" then he went to rename it, and he typed "PC36IMG.zip" but, his pc does not show extensions for common files. When he downloaded the file, all he saw was "eng-PC36IMG" because the .zip doesn't show. When he renamed it "PC36IMG.zip" he really created a file called "PC36IMG.zip.zip" but he couldn't see the last .zip I'm not sure how to change it on Win7 or Vista, but on WinXP, My Computer>Tools>Folder Options>View, there is an item that says "Hide extensions for known file types" If you uncheck that box, you'll see the extensions for all common files (.zip .txt .mp3 .jpg) Bottom line, you don't have to make the extensions show, just know that they are there. So in your case, you can just leave the .zip extension hidden and rename the file "PC36IMG" Quote:

After I saw you post that you couldn't get the file, I clicked the link and downloaded it just fine. As I mentioned above, I'll try to provide a mirror when I get home tonight.

That's a nice device you got there... btw, you aren't using the same download method the rest of us are or I call BS on it working for you. It's simple math really. You must have a premium membership on sendspace.

What's in a name? That which we call a genius by any other name would be just as smart. I beat up Sprint and all I have to show for it is this lousy When you were in diapers and wetting the sheets I was out hacking with the ppcgeeks. |
