Bestbuy.com EVO order with old plan Working!!

I was eventually successful at ordering an EVO for $199 and keeping my old plan of 450min and $15 unlimited data!

Status: 1 item(s) - Order in process of being fulfilled.

I guess I'll see if they actually ship it out. I assume the online activation will not work since I'm not on an everything plan, will they still add on the $10 fee?

I used a one time virtual credit card so I don't see how they can charge me the $100 instant rebate for not activating it?

Should be interesting. I know TheBundo started another thread on this, which has gone into another demension, but I'll be interested in what happens with his deal.

My order Shows my 39.99 plan plus $10 Evo fee = $49

This will not work PERIOD. You can order the phone with the discount price you are elgible for the upgrade. I had ask this in other thread regarding " Will the phone be activated when shipped ? " So here is the bad news.

1) Yah !! ordered with discount with old plan (keep old plan and add $10.00 for 4G)

2) BB called, we got a conflict , Either you change plan or we cancel the order ( in a nice way, due to Sprint system it has to be the everything plus or everything data plan to activate EVOs)

So my questions were answered. They will activate the phone before they ship it, and when they try to activate the phone, there are those requirements (Everything plus or Everything data)

So...

1) you can't keep the phone for $199.99 because they won't ship it without activation.

Side Note: Of course my plan was $15.00 a month !!!!

if they can't charge your card, they'll simply charge it to your sprint bill...

I can see that this will probably happen.

So your saying Bestbuy will activate the new phone on your plan, which will deactivate your current phone, leaving you without a phone until you receive the new one(about a week in my case?)

They overnight the phone after they activate the phone for you if you order it online , so that way you have a short period of time without the phone.

But the moral of this topic is, The EVO will not work on old plans SERO , Fair & Flex...and so forth.
