Anyone, download the OTA?

Best buy is forcing you to upgrade. the first thing they did was put the battery in, and update it, without letting me know. Then when the update was taking place he said all done, and I could leave and when the phone was finished updating then I could use it. Gee thanks

I actually have no issues with mine and didn't do the update. SD card is working fine.

My dude at BB turned on the phone, that's it. He asked me if I wanted him to set it up and I said no.

I had the card issue so I updated and its fixed. I am sure an updated root will become available very soon. Over at unrevoked.com they are taking a look at the update now to see what effect it will have on root, if any. They are recommending not to update. Bottom line, if you update, you will likely have root access within a week anyway.

The SD card issue just causes the phone to get stuck right? From what I read, for those that had it happen it was just a matter of reseting to fix it. I would rather deal w/ that issue than doing the OTA Update and not be able to root. I want my WiFi Hotspot.

If you're wondering whether or not your EVO has been updated, here's what to look for -

1.32.651.1 ->Shipped Version
1.32.651.6 ->OTA Update

I've got to wait a couple of days to get mine, so I guess I'll know if I should update by then for sure. If I shouldn't so that I can root, I'll just make the BB guy not do it. If he does, I'll flip sh**. I'm having so many problems with BB.

u keep getting asked about the update after you root? so what happens if you already root and update? i see that updating before rooting wont let u root afterwards, but if u already rooted then what...hmmm?
