crap. I think it was done when the phone was activated for me... hope someone finds a work around so I can root it now? Any way to backout the update?

Mine hasn't asked me yet ... I hope it wasn't an option when the phone was first turned on at the store and the cust svc rep accepted it. >_>

I'd imagine a hard reset would work since it'd restore it to the last flashed state. Not sure how Android works with updates changing the NAND or not though.

It updates the "Firmware". I think it's stuck in there

The OTA popped up after I finished adding my Facebook and Twitter accounts.

Mine wasn't updated when I got it, but I started having memory card problems with the camera, so I updated it and all is working fine now. I don't care about Root atm, so I'm happy.
