i didnt preorder one or anything, i just rolled up to the local sprint store around 915 am. i got the last one that wasnt reserved!
also, the best buy by my house had a deal. best buys' version of the innocase, an invsashield screen protector, and a car charger all for 45 |

Every RS and BB was either sold out or you had to be a pre-order here in San Antonio, and I was NOT going to be waiting in line. So I had to go to a small town about 60miles outside of San Antonio for work, and while driving around the little town, I found a RS and decided "What the hell". So I stopped in not hoping for anything, then asked if they had any non pre-order EVOs for sale, and they said "Yep, how many you want?" Lmao... So I was in and out, wham bam thank you ma'am, in 5 minutes.

OK so i am a huge fan of best-buy mobile they always take care of me and i expected to wait at least an hour for the wait on line and setup, but took almost 2 hours hours(30 waiting on line even thou i had an appointment 11:45 got there 11:46) another 1hr:20mins standing to setup everything up (got a free blue-tooth at least...which i don't need) plus my 3g still doesnt work just got off the phone with sprint tech surprise they picked up so fast actually went through a bunch of resets and restarts but finally said will take another hour then try update profile. he was going to tell me when 4g would be available in NY but i hung up before he could tell me which probably would have been an estimate of when its going up not an actual set date. will post when i finally get 3g up and running ??????does this mean we will be like AT&T and the iPhone to much data congestion from all of us getting on line with the hottest phone there is ???? HHHMMMM

posted this in another thread, but this is basically how it went for me:
ok, had a 6:15 appt at RS and got my evo using the airave upgrade. was a pretty big mess and i have yet to see whether everything is going to work out. this is a 5 line family share (4 phones, 1 airave). after adding the EVO to the airave line and performing the swap with the line i want the evo on, RS ended up kicking the phone i wanted to replace (TP2) back to the airave number and the airave got kicked off the account all together. they claimed they could not fix this and i had to call sprint to resolve. so i called retentions directly and told them the story and that i wanted the tp2 off the account and the airave back on (with the same airave service credit i had previously). so the woman went to work and came back to tell me she had to cancel the original airave number and start a new one to get the airave back on. so she did what i asked but now i'm wondering if there will be any kickback due to the fact that the line that was technically used for the evo upgrade was essentially closed a few hours later. i guess we'll see...right now, everything works fine... |
