hey guys you got off topic big time. i really had a genuine question that relates to the review from phonescoop. can the root make the compression issues go away and make a better hd quality shoot?

Re: My EVO review...hmmm

I don't really see the fact that the SD card is under the battery as detrimental. Now, if we were using a windows phone, it absolutely would be, for one reason. Transferring large amounts of data through the phone to the SD card (via usb cable) is PAINFUL in windows. You MIGHT get 3megs a second transfer on a class 6 card. As opposed to pulling out the card and getting 15megs a second using a USB microsd reader.

I've tested the data transfer rates on a co-workers incredible, and it was actually faster to do it through the phone then it was with the microsd card reader (15megs per second)... And that was on a class 2 card. I was getting 12 megs per second via a usb microsd reader.

Assuming the evo has similiar rates, I don't think it's going to be an issue. I'll put my 16 gig class 6 in there, and probably won't take it out till I replace the phone.

It's really easy and can be done in three steps:

1. Stab yourself in the face six times.
2. Grovel on your knees at Steve Jobs' feet. Blow if you must.
3. Stab yourself in the face six times.

BAM. iPhone OS on Evo.

Re: HTC EVO 4G Review phonescoop kinda dogs it out!

This is one of the best reviews I have seen yet for this phone. The bottom line is he really liked the phone.

Negatives that I see from the review are

The $10 fee (which is outrageous IMO - bad move on sprints part)
The 720p camera for video pretty much sucks. (his video clip of the water proves this fact)
The 4g is performance drains the battery significantly and is very hit or miss.

All complete and valid points.
