Re: HTC EVO on Sprint Employee Account ?

I had SERO

I had the $30.00 a month 500 minutes plan and the $50.00 a month 1250 minutes plan.
It was time for us to get my son a phone... so I basically walked into the store, (after getting my phone off of reserve)...
It took a very long time, I was standing there for like 40 minutes.. and get this, this was at a corporate store... MIND YOU, I called Sprint, 3x times, before the launch date, 3 months out, to ask if I could get the EVO 4G. Each time, they said yes, but I would have to change my plan to one of the FAMILY SERO-like plans...
Which is basically what I did.

$109 a month for:

- 1600 AT\AW minutes
- Unlimited Data and Texting
-3x Phones ($9.99 a month for the 3rd phone)
-Free nights and weekends starting at 6pm and ending at 6am
-Unlimited calling between any mobile phone network...

So. now I pay about $128.00 a month.... (with taxes and what not, probably close to $150.00) as opposed to $97.00 a month after taxes fees, and insurance...

When I got to the Corporate store, the lady didn't know how to do ANYTHING. So she called "HER" manager, he said they don't deal with SERO accounts, so she went ahead and called HER Sprint Help line...they could not help her... either...
So I called *2 on my cell phone which of course got me striaght through to employee sales.
I spoke my mantra that I would repeat 2 more times after transfers "I have a SERO account, I was told that in order to get the SERO, I could purchase one at a SPRINT CORPORATE STORE, or online through TELESALES, but only after I UPGRADED my account to a Family SERO-like plan ($109 versus $129.00, 1600 minutes versus 1500 minutes).

The third lady, explained that they would need to bill the plan, initially as a regular EVerything plus plan ($69.99 + $10.00 for EVO charge) as a new line, and then they would move that line, plust my current 2 lines to the family plan.

They did this... and instead of paying for the phone, I had it billed to my account, and then I swapped the phone numbers, and Sprint issued me a $100.00 credit to replace the rebate I would not be able to get, because I swapped numbers.

A lot of hastle...but I just priced out a similar plan, and with ATT, and the same options and 1x iphone, It would cost me $181.00 and that is before taxes... and fees...

Re: HTC EVO on Sprint Employee Account ?

Found this over at SprintUsers.com

"Without a EVO ur plan will minus the $10 @ YPG and for My reply 18887884727 iss the business line. $10 is for the Wimax attena which is built in the phone, becuz of the serial number it automatically post the Extra $10. Ok lets call customer svc (business ofcourse) becuz without a rep (sprint store rep over 3rd P Emp who is authorized to make changes)Demo Lines are considered ummmmmm Business customers.

1)Give ESN

2)Tell the rep change me EMP Line to a DEMO Indirect Employee W Plan
3)The Rep should tell you if He/She found the plan (tell em W on the end makes it so easy)
4)They will say its activated and let program
5)Your Done"

Re: HTC EVO on Sprint Employee Account ?

Don't use the number above....they had to transfer me.....use 8888768381.

This does work...I just don't have the phone so they couldn't activate it yet.

Try it folks!!!

Do you just press 1 after calling that number, or do you have to talk to someone else?

Re: HTC EVO on Sprint Employee Account ?

But how are people getting around the must have everything plan? i understand the plan you guys have but how does it take it?

I am so pissed at sprint i have had sprint for 10 plus years and my bill is 138$ a month for 7 lines with all the perks but i can't get a evo unless i pay for another whole account.

I would have to get the ED450 and get my 25% discount and they still have my account marked for the 10/24 even though it is done with.

My bill would be about 50$ that is 1/3 for what i pay for 7 lines now and i have 2500 minutes and every perk you can think of.

If you still work for the third party dealer all you need to do is email the Demo Modification Form and that's it. You don't even have to speak to your rep about it, four in our store have succesfuly done it. If you no longer work for the Dealer I believe it's still possible (two success stories) IF you know the dealer code where you used to work. Hope this helps!
