Re: winmo users who are switching to evo . . .

I am switching from my TP to the EVO because I'm tired of always chasing my winmo phone around. I've used NRGZ rom's since he came from XDA and have loved using his work but flashing is a tireless process. No matter what there was always something in winmo that was always problematic. I appreciate all the chefs and their hard work that they do free so that these phones would actually be able to perform. I'm so excited for the EVO and the rave reviews that android gets that I'm hoping that I can just let it be natural instead of flashing and flashing it to get it to be somewhat usable. I'm sure the snapdragon processor is going to make a huge difference alone and I imagine that if the TP had a snapdragon it would've made all the difference in its lag and freezing. I just don't believe that the engine could really handle what we wanted it to do. My friend has a droid and it seems awesome just the way it is and the EVO is a better model so I'm expecting the same if not better results.

Just because of this issue. I have many friends/family on other android phones...and they get low memory warnings all the time.

The Evo will have 1gb for storage. Not to mention once root access is gained,(I'd say 2-3 weeks, tops) you will be able to use a program called Apps2SD which will put the apps on your SD card automatically.

I've had a Hero since launch, and I've never had a low memory warning.

im still gonna miss pocketshield lol .. likely is its all i will miss. majority of my issues with my 2 winmo devicees i was always told to flash a custom rom or hard reset. im so tired of hearing them 2 things. i never wanted a custom rom & hard resetting every few days aint reliability. but hopefully them days r soon over. in 2 weeks, my bday will be enjoyed by beers o plenty & Evo!

I'm tired of reflashing all the time too. I'll leave my TP with the rom it has now and keep it as a music player for in my car. Other than that, it's the EVO all the way!
