Re: winmo users who are switching to evo . . .
I will miss...being able to install programs to my SD card. I know they say it's coming but who know when. Then you have to wait until Sprint upgrades the ROM....We all know how good they are at that....ex: TP2 6.5 upgrade...Hero 2.1 upgrade.... I was all ready to make the jump.... but am rethinking now. Just because of this issue. I have many friends/family on other android phones...and they get low memory warnings all the time.

The keyboard isn't part of Winmo... I will miss the gaming aspect. Android games aren't as good as winmo due to lack of developer interest which is slowly changing. Im not talking paper toss and such but mainstream games... Last edited by i360; 05-20-2010 at 09:50 AM. |

Re: winmo users who are switching to evo . . .
The only thing I will miss is the keyboard, but I don't think that should be a problem and I'll get over it quickly.
For those of you who will miss MyPhone, as long as you don't need to back up all your calls and texts, you don't need it. Everything automatically syncs to your google account. I think that's better than MyPhone any day.

Thank you so much for this! Everyone has just been saying google sync as if that was the only option and I was looking for something like this or sktools or dashwire! This is great knowledge! Thanks!

Re: winmo users who are switching to evo . . .
I love the evo for the hardware... but I am not willing to leave winmo. Just got my wife the samsung moment, and it is nice, but IMHO android lacks the tweekability that winmo has got me use to. So I think I will hold out and hope for a 4g device running winmo 6.5, windows phone 7 looks like a dissapointment to me
