Re: $10 is really bothering you? Check this out.

Here is the problem with that comparison when related to me. Im already on Sprint and have been on Sprint for a good amount of yrs.

For those coming from another carrier may still be saving money, but me as a person that will have to drop a legacy (not sero) plan that fits my needs exactly will not only have to get a ED plan (which I knew I would some day) and then still have to pay $10 charge for a "richer data experience", "4g", "to offer the phone for the $199 subsidized price" (which I will be paying full price if i get the phone), take your pick of what every BS excuse Sprint and who ever else wants to make up for it.

So now tell me again how I will be saving money? Im not switching from TMO, Verizon, or ATT (left them yrs ago after the Cingular buy out) to be saving on my bill because i wasnt paying their rates any damn way. I will basically have to switch my plan to a ED plan (discounts aside because I would than get a no contract plan from TMO if I didnt have them) basically double what I pay after taxes (which will be the nice NYC tax).

So how am I saving again if I have to pay this $10 charge that is supposed to apply to one of these reasons "richer data experience", "4g", "to offer the phone for the $199 subsidized price" (which I will be paying full price if i get the phone), on top of the fact that I will be giving up a great legacy plan that already has unlimited data?

One last thing. For all those that keep saying that if you have a problem with the $10 charge for what every reason should just not get phone, if we all did hold our ground and didnt get the phone, Sprint would be out a lot of money because of their flagship phone horribly flopping and not selling on top of the customer lose that would come from those that were on the wall about leaving but were going to stay for this phone.

Now if Sprint fails because of yet another bad flagship phone launch and even more people leaving and the money runs out, you guys would also be assed out because now that great 4.3in 4g phone would become a 4.3in Android version of the Ipod touch because there is no carrier to tie it to (especially a Wimax carrier).

Not sure if any1 knows the answer to this question:

Does the $10/mos still apply to full price EVO purchase without reupping for 2 years?

Yes. If you get an Evo, you have the addl $10/mo added to your bill, for each active Evo you have.

Re: $10 is really bothering you? Check this out.

well that means i would have to change my plan to "save" what if i dont want to change?

i dont want to worry about if i call a land line or cell... or if its pass a 7pm or what ever...

the $10 has nothing to do with voice or date plan... its simply a add on to the phone.. sprint knows it will sell well so why not get 10 bucks more from people.

Re: $10 is really bothering you? Check this out.

Let's be real

Verizon/ATTT > Sprint.

There's a reason Sprint is the "discount" carrier. Sprint is also the only of the 3 main carriers in the US losing customers at an astounding rate.

Sprint has to discount their plans just to stem the tide of defections.

Everyone I know that has switched from Verizon to Sprint has been glad they did. Everyone I know on AT&T is only on AT&T because they have an iPhone and they think it's the greatest thing in the world because they're blind, surfing the "real web" (lol) with EDGE.

I only have one complaint about Sprint, and it's not anything to do with their coverage or service. It's their customer service. They are generally pretty unhelpful, uneducated, and rude.

Thats kinda pushing it since sprint is #3..so out of 3 yes..

if you look overall sprint is doing fine financially for now...but can't say same thing about T-mobile usa where the parent company is thinking of selling it if necessary.

Note: Although similar, NONE of these plans from other carriers offer as much as the Sprint plan does.

Sprint (EVO):
$69.99 + $10 Premium Data = $79.99
450 minutes and free m2m
N&W starting at 7pm
Unlimited Data & Text

Verizon (Droid/Incredible):
$59.99 Talk & Text + $29.99 Data = $89.98
450 minutes and free m2m for 5 numbers only
N&W starting at 9pm
Unlimited Data & Text

AT&T (iPhone 3GS):
$39.99 + $30 Data + $20 Text = $89.99
450 minutes w/ Rollover
N&W starting at 9pm
Unlimited Data & Text

T-Mobile (G1/MyTouch):
$79.99
500 minutes
N&W at 9pm
Unlimited Data & Text

This is obviously for people who are threatening to leave Sprint for another carrier because of this stupid $10 fee. Yes, it sucks, but come on...are you really willing to go to another carrier and pay $20 more instead of $10 more (exception: T-Mobile) and get LESS stuff?

Not to mention the fact that you can easily get monthly discounts with Sprint's service as there are links all over the web that show you how to do it (25% is common).

You also get UNCAPPED 3G and 4G with this $10, which I think is actually a great thing a lot of people aren't thinking about. I know, 5GB is a lot in one month (current cap) with 3G, but it's not impossible to hit, and with 4G, that'll be easy as hell since I know most of us will be downloading obscenely large files on it.

Quitchyerbitchin.
so basically for 10 more dollars I can move to a network that has a better selection and not a lying bitch CEO thanks this is food for thought why not pay 20 more and go to a real carrier
