Re: All Evo 4G Pre-Order Discussions Go Here

to be a PREMIER CUSTOMER you have to be with sprint for 5 or 10 years OR be on a 69.99 amount individual or a 99.99 family plan for at last 3 months

did anyone else have to pay tax on your pre-order? scanned pic below
I just thought about it. BB should not have charged tax on a gift card in the first place. The $50 gift card is a form of payment. It can not be applied until after they total up the phone. This will be $199.99 + tax. Then they take of $50 for the GC and you owe the rest.

For those who paid tax on the GC, BB will have to manually adjust the price of the phone (or work some other magic) so you don't get cheated out of the tax you paid on the GC.

I just started thinking about this and it seems odd i was told i should receive a call as well, but as im thinking i say why would they say well call you and not just say come pick up your reserved phone on the 4th of june?

-So they wont have a huge line with people signing contracts and what not?
but if the phone is being released on the 4th are they not expecting walk-in buys?
so i came to the conclusion that this is what may happen(hope im not being to hopeful)

1)they will receive the phones early and phone in the people who pre-ordered.
2)they will not officially release the phone until monday except for the pre-ordered ones.

If neither is done or they have thought of a brighter idea i havent thought of i expect to see mayhem at best buy june 4th with pre-orders not being fulfilled and alot of pissed off customers i hope that is not the case. Any best buy mobile employee wanna clarify?

Re: All Evo 4G Pre-Order Discussions Go Here

^The way I seen the Hero and iPhone pre-orders go down was that BB calls the people in for soft appointment windows and they have reps dedicated to serving the pre-orders only. Walk-ins only got phones that were not reserved if any were left over.

Re: All Evo 4G Pre-Order Discussions Go Here

Looking through this thread, I've seen one or two mentions that The Shack does not require any deposit for pre-ordering the EVO through them... is this actually the case? Can anyone who pre-ordered their's at The Shack please confirm this? I ask because I was originally planning on pre-ordering at Best Buy, but won't have the $50 until NEXT Friday (only a week before launch) and I want to make sure I get mine on Day One...

Re: All Evo 4G Pre-Order Discussions Go Here

I ordered from BB (I'm #1) but will be checking out HTC Shop America, Amazon and Wirefly they were all selling the Incredible and the HD2 for less then Verizon and T-Mo from the first day they were available. If I must wait a day or 2 but save $50 to $100 I'll do it.
