swype for Evo? - Page 4

I have Swype on my Touch Pro 2 and im about to get my EVO but my father uses SlideIT and i dont think its that great, i managed to snag Shapewriter before it got pulled off the market for my friends EVO and i like it better than both of those because its learning function is a little more obvious, and when you add words it doesnt know it doesnt give you 2 ?? like SlideIT does.

Also shapewriter got pulled off the marketplace because it was bought by another company but here it is and it does not require any registration or anything, if you need help in installing send me a message , although its pretty simple

I installed the apk here to my wifes EVO. The keyboard works like a regular keyboard. When I do the slide I see the trace but no word comes up. I just get a odd beep when I come to the end of the word...

Does anyone know what version of swype that was on the first page and if it expires?

Don't know the original version but the one I installed that has yet to expire is v.2.4.4410912.t100

KarlE I got your file and installed swype but for some reason i can not get it to enable i have a evo 4g hardware ver 0004 with froyo any help would be greatly appreciated!

go to settings/language&keyboard check box for swype

then go to text box long press/ input method/swype

Swype works awesome on the HTC EVO, i dont think i would ever go back to the regular keyboard ever!!
