Wirelessly posted (HTC Touch Pro: Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 2.1-update1; en-us; Sprint APA9292KT Build/ERE27) AppleWebKit/530.17 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile Safari/530.17)

Has anyone installed swype on their evo yet? I found a Link but the dimensions are wrong so it doesn't work properly. Uninstalled.. my touch pro 2 had a physical keyboard and I still used swype primarily.. I really need this on my evo please help.

I thank you very much. I actually had to register to download. But I am using it now and it works better than it did on my touch pro 2. Thanks again!

This attachment works fine.

You have to save it to your storage card.

Go into settings and then Applications, then checkmark the Unknown Sources choice.

Use a file explorer like Astro or ESFIle Explorer to browse to the downloads folder on the storage card and rung the swype program.

This program/application is one of the best and should be on all EVO phones. I'm not going to lie, I was missing the keyboard that I was use to on the TP2. This swype program has made texting even easier. I have big fingers and this works so much better. It looks like I am just zig zagging but not the case. Awesome program.

I quit using swype before the trial ended. I don't know if it was just my phone or not, but I got alot of 'blackout' areas. Places on the keyboard that would end the word as if the user was no longer holding down on the screen. Got pretty bad eventually.
