Re: swype for Evo?

Also thought I would mention SlideIT, which is a replacement keyboard similar to Swype and is available on the market as a free trial and a paid app. I actually prefer SlideIT to Swype (and the fact that I don't have to jump through stupid beta signup hoops to get the .apk file...) Works on all Android versions, give it a shot.
Here's a demonstration of it in action: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xf0iu...layer_embedded

Re: swype for Evo?

Can someone help me please. I have placed the file on my sd card and installed it on my Evo successfully, I go into keyboard settings and checkmark swype, but when I bring up the keyboard I do not have the swype button, just the regular keyboard buttons and no way to do the final step.

I thought so to til actually using swype on the evo for the first time today. one thing I didn't like about shape writer is I found it difficult to use in landscape, swype the opposite

Re: swype for Evo?

I've got swype working perfect on the evo.....

You need to click on the text box and hold it down and choose swype.... you have to do that on everything... Text,Internet ect for each different text box

Re: swype for Evo?

I just started using Swype two days ago and have simply fallen in love with it. I even got my girlfriend liking it on her Verizon Omni2.
