Thanks for the link, but now that I have swype how do you use it?
"You need to click on the text box and hold it down and choose swype.... you have to do that on everything... Text,Internet ect for each different text box"

I have held it down on text, and ect text boxes but nothing happens. Any ideas?

edit: just found the idiot proof guide... gotta turn it on in settings first heh.

Swype totally rocks, it took me about a week and now for the first time in my life I can actually text quickly. I'm using it on an EVO and it works wtih 2.2. too.

Did you actually install it? If so, be sure to go into Menu/Settings/Language & Keyboard and make sure Swype it checked. Then go to send an email or text message and do a long press in the input area for the edit text pop-up menu, selext Input method and change to Swype.

the swype i installed now says incorrect resolution... 400X800 some kinda of an error like that... any idea on that?
