Re: swype for Evo?
Does anyone need the latest .apk version of Swype? It's good to have it if you don't want to do the OTA update. I was on unrevoked 3 and couldn't install the update because of this, it kept erroring during the installation, and i had to do a battery pull every time. I also didn't want more of the bloatware that comes with the update, and since I don't know how to do a true full root, I wouldn't be able to just remove the bloatware myself. Let me know and I'll post it if anyone would like it. For the record, the .apk I have is: STANDARD BUILD - SWYPE BETA v2.15.56.14870.
Does anyone have the micro build version, 2.17.59.15552? I'd like to have that to keep file sizes down, but wasn't able to find it. Last edited by jawman; 12-27-2010 at 11:05 AM. |

Re: swype for Evo?
Can't seem to attach from my phone, I'll attach as soon as I get to a computer.
Edit: Here is the .apk for the latest version of Swype, standard build, version 2.15.56.14870. Enjoy everyone. Last edited by jawman; 12-28-2010 at 01:38 PM. |

Re: swype for Evo?
I don't like Swype. Touch input is actually pretty efficient, once you give it a chance and let your fingers get used to it. Swype is slower and buggier, at least in my experience. Maybe a neat concept, but the software is inferior.

Re: swype for Evo?
Hello boy's and girl's.... I know this has been asked before in one way or another. I am hoping my question is some what different. I am running Software Number 3.29.651.5 rooted and had swype installed. Now it no longer works. So I believe the latest update for the EVO included this feature in it. Yes-No? I also read a couple other threads of how much bloatware it also included. That is why I did not update. Plus back then there was a concern about losing root. So what I am looking for is an apk for the swype that was included in the latest update so it does not expire on me ever again. Not sure if it is available that way? Thank you for your time.
