"...a 4.3-inch qHD 960 x 540-pixel Autostereoscopic 3D display.."

Autostereoscopic displays emit a 3D image without needing the glasses.

Re: Evo 3d specs revealed

I'm not really crazy about the 3d display or even the ability to capture video in 3d... I'm more excited about the 1.2ghz dual core cpu. Also, I have never heard of a autosteroscopic display I just hope it looks nice a superamoled or at least is better than my current evo screen.

Well better then the current Evo display isn't hard..lol..I think considering the specs its probably the same display used in the LG Optimus 3d

There is a video: (of optimus 3d display)

LG 3D smartphone display eyes-on (video) -- Engadget

but keep in mind its hard to tell quality on a video...but it gives some idea..

Edit: It seems right now there are 3 displays with 3d in the market...

LG (used in optimus 3d), Sharp(used in nitendo ds 3d) and MasterImage (used in the Hitachi's Wooo)

MasterImage isnt actually a display but a layer on top of a display aka it can make any display 3d...

so idk which one HTC decided to use :/

Re: Evo 3d specs revealed

If we install this OTA, will we still be rooted?

Re: Evo 3d specs revealed

I have 2 lines, and a third line available upon request. The main line contract ends in Sept 2011 and the 2nd line has been over in year and a half ago...I'm really interested in the 1.2 Dual core processor and the better resolution screen! Like gTen stated in a few text's back about the battery life being descent; 1730 battery and 45nm processor...I hope this is the case!!! And the fact I like screwing with my friend who is an Iphone fanatic He's more than likely waiting on the Iphone 5 or 4G (ATT & Verizon), Then I tell him that HTC and Android reign supreme Join the Dark side...The Force is strong in you! lol

Re: Evo 3d specs revealed

OK, serious question: Why is there "dual rear 5 megapixel cameras"? I understand why there would be two cameras, one facing you and one the other way, but why 2 cams in the rear. No homo.

Also isn't a 5MP camera a downgrade from our current 8MP? I know it's the quality of the MP and not the actual MP but it's a downgrade, no?

Yup 3d requires two cameras. As far is them being 5 and not 8 like the current evo I'm not worried about it. I just hope it is a better quality camera than the current 8 we have. Look at a side by side comparison of video and pics from evo 8mp and iPhone 4 or epic 5mp they look much better than evo pics and vid. I really hope they improved the camera!
