Re: Vibrate stopped working
Hey i know this is an old thread an all, but my phone just stopped vibrating too and i was wondering if they will replace it for a palm pre cuz both phones cost the same price...
I know this may sound stupid because i don't usually have to exchange my phones cuz im only a kid and I never had a defective phone before...

Like any policy, I'm sure there are ways around it But 99.9% of the time, you will get the same model as a replacement, whether it is new or refurbished. |

Re: Vibrate stopped working
Thanks for your replies. I also know an employee for Sprint and my phone is on one of his lines so I get the employee plan basically, so does that influence what phone I can get? Do employees get to choose what phone they want to replace their broken phone?
@Biker1: If they don't have another diamond available, does that mean they will give me a tp, htc touch, or a diamond 2 if I tell them to wait until one of those come in? Last edited by biggaboo; 07-28-2009 at 03:06 PM. |

Touch: No, would be considered a downgrade although I know some that love the device Pro: Not necessarily as it is a different device regarding keyboard, etc. but probably would be considered a lateral move regarding devices. Diamond2: If available, probably. But likely that Sprint would not let you wait until it becomes available But since you have a buddy that is an employee, he or she can let you know for certain what can and can't be done. Re: Vibrate stopped working
Thanks Biker1! One last question, will sprint even take the phone or do I have to send it directly to htc? I've had the phone since october...

But Sprint usually honors the manufacturers warranty. They did for me and others. The last I heard, Sprint's policy has not changed. Just go to the store, a Sprint store with a repair/service facility, and explain the situation to a Rep. Obviously, be courteous. If a rep gives you a hassle, ask to speak with a manager. I don't think you should have any problem, especially when you are friendly with a Sprint employee. Which reminds me, just go to your friend and have him do the exchange or repair. In the case of a screen failure, they will exchange the device for you Remember, all of the above is dependant on whether or not your issue is a manufacturing defect. |

Re: Vibrate stopped working
thanks a lot Biker1. I'm pretty sure it's a manufacture defect because I've tried hard resetting, flashing to stock and everything. Right now I have my phone with me all back to stock and relocked and I'm just waiting for my dad to take me to a Sprint store (probably this weekend). Or maybe I can get him to call our friend and see what he says.
