**UPDATE**
Just called sprint and talked to their Tech Support office. They are sending me a new phone and it'll be here in 2-3 business days. I will then have to return the old phone back to them. I'm SHOCKED.

thats pretty amazing. they were being *******s when i talked to them. they made me go through asurion and pay the 50 dollar replacement fee after 3 different phone calls. not very helpful because verizon and att when you have a faulty phone they replace it for you and deal with the manufacturer themselves. 3 of my friends have had verizon branded samsung glydes crap out on them, walk into the verizon store and are given a brand new phone. 1 friend on att called customer service, att shipped them a brand new phone for free and asked them to ship their defective phone back free of charge. sprint makes you deal with the manufacture directly, and pretty much tell you tough ****.
apparently the mainboard that the vibrate motor is attached is faulty, i believe due to heat. overtime the main board's contacts burn out or something causing the vibrate motor to stop functioning.
