Re: Vibrate stopped working
I hear ya.
It appears the TP2 will be out soon, from what I have read. And the Diamond2 is no where in sight. So if you want a Diamond, ebay or similar or wait for the TP2 as you suggest. Another choice would be to change the vibrate motor on your Diamond. I started a thread regarding Diamond Disassembly, which may be of help to you.The thread includes links to sites regarding parts and service. Here is the thread > http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=77666

Re: Vibrate stopped working
this just happened to me. It's very strange since it happened exactly after I flashed to stock and then to Juicy from Grooverom.
Could this be rom related? |

Re: Vibrate stopped working
I've been through 3 touch diamonds already, all of their vibrator motors died. Luckily mine was under warranty and they gave me a refurbished one.
Its a faulty vibration motor. It doesn't have to do with the ROM. I've been using all different roms with nothing happening until one the vibrate stopped working.

Re: Vibrate stopped working
Mine stopped when i received a text message. By the time i turned to look at it, it was soft resetting on it's own and the vibrate hasn't worked since then.

Re: Vibrate stopped working
hmmmm I think my phone is almost out of warranty. I'd better hurry and get it fixed.
The RMA process was very strange for these phones if I remember. You just basically mail them in. no RMA # or anything. |

I have had luck twice regarding a manufacturers warranty issue with having Sprint doing the exchange instore. Will save you alot of time that way. Take a look at my post a few back for some suggestions. I have TEP so I don't know if that helped to facilitate an instore warranty exchange. My Diamond was not exchanged under TEP though, as my issues were due to a manufacturer's defect. |
