Re: Diamonds on eBay
That fool has scammed close to $15k. That has to be enough to get the authorities interested. The victims need to contact the FBI and file complaints to get this guy prosecuted.

Re: Diamonds on eBay
This thread shouldn't close. It's a relevant/current issue. People should be pointed here so they know what is going on and what actions to take. I mean just yesterday infection0 asked this exact thing...
If you got an asurion phone, file a claim with paypal now before your 45 days is up. People are already getting their refunds. Get yours to prevent getting screwed in the future (even if the phone works now). BTW, my last 2 smartphones have been off ebay. They worked perfectly fine and were excellent deals. I even swapped the housing on the first one and it was like getting a brand new phone. Bad luck this time around but hopefully I come out on top (waiting on paypal). |

Re: Diamonds on eBay
I received my phone on Nov. 25 from Asurian sold by an eBay seller. I found this thread posted subsequent to my thread and I grew concerned as it seemed to appear that I had been the victum of a scam. I called Sprint fraud, who simply weren't interested.
I have not been billed by Sprint, my phone still works, and the guy I purchased the phone from - celldep0t - has now 1400+ rating and very few negatives. He still "sells" Diamonds like Angelina Jolie collects children. At this point, I'm not going to make a claim with eBay or PayPal. If Sprint or Asurian (or whoever is getting ripped off) wants to pursue this, then fine. But the disinterest shown by Sprint demonstrates that they don't really care how these phones are leaking out. Eventually, Sprint is going to lose the ability to shut these phones off through neglect. I have yet to see anyone who stated in any of these 226 posts that Sprint has shut them down or turned the phone off. I am not going to worry about this any further. |
