Re: Finally Sprint Diamond on Verizon, but...
You can follow 99% of the steps, but I would stay away from the shipped ROMs they mention.
Using the links I provided earlier in this thread along with that touch pro tutorial should provide you with all the necessary steps. Use the site search function as well. There is a lot of info on transitioning the vogue (touch) between carriers. To recap - phone activation: 1 - Modify the phone's SPC (service programming code) and switch it to 000000. Verizon requires this in order to successfully program. 2 - Load the verizon modified PRL found on the touchpro thread or on http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=39985. This will allow your phone to connect to verizon to start programming. (You can try loading the ERI later if you have roaming indicators, but this doesn't always work) 3 - Call *228 for programming and select option 3. Upon successful activation you should be able to make and receive calls. Data Setup 1 - Edit M.IP settings to setup your data connection - steps 5/6/7 on http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=20090&highlight=change+carrier 2 - upload the DMU 10.key file using EFS Explorer in QPST. 3 - after setting up the M.IP settings and your DMU key you should be able to initiate a data connection. The AAA and HA secret keys should populate. If they don't you will need to call verizon to get a DMU reset. Be careful when you are in QPST and follow the directions on the sites. Modifying settings incorrectly can leave you with a headache. Last edited by wavez; 11-24-2008 at 11:02 PM. |

Yes, using Arcsoft MMS. I am using DCD's cab of v5.0.31.19 with verizon settings.

Re: Finally Sprint Diamond on Verizon, but...
It's really not worth sticking with the stock ROM. The cooked ROMs in the upgrade forum provide much better performance and battery life.
Right now I'm running Juicy 3.7, but I've also tried Mighty 2.7 and PPCKitchen. So far my favorites have been Juicy's ROMs. |

Re: Finally Sprint Diamond on Verizon, but...
Thanks to everyone for these posts. I am shopping e-bay and such for a Diamond to use with my Verizon account. I have noticed there is some kid of issue with ESN numbers and Sprint. Do I need phone with a clear ESN if I am going to use it on Verizon? Are ESN's marked bad when someone does something wrong? I am just trying to figure out how to make sure I get a phone that will work for me.

I would get clean esn since they are about the same price. I got clean esn from ebay and activated today.

I have seen on the forrum for the TP that folks have gotten MMS working no problem and it seems like they did it before getting data working. Does anyone know if you have to have data for MMS? |
