^^^Yup precisely what I found out, Sprint's roaming is on Centennial's towers wich gives great reception WITH EVDO Rev.0 if you use the Roaming only option.

Let's see what happens now, because ATT bought Centennial.

Yup but supposively the celular portion of Centennial is going to get sold off because ATT runs on GSM and not CDMA. We won't know until July 09' when they predict the official announcement of the procedings from the negotiation will take place. One of the argument points is that it would be to costly for ATT to migrate all of Centennial's Celular customers to a GSM network. They would either have to continue supporting Centennial's celular customers separate from ATT customers or sell off the division to either Verizon or Claro.

Nope, Claro is on the CDMA network that has gone from PRTC -> Verizon -> Claro

Verify their other phones. If I'm not mistaken the Treo 750 is a world phone wich means it has CDMA and GSM radios so that you can use it world wide. Some black berries come like this as well.

EDIT: I just checked and yes they do offer a series of GSM phones. Maybe they're running on both networks here in PR? I know for SURE they are on CDMA as well. Now this doesn't make any sense, they DID buy Verizon Wireless of Puerto Rico and they were CLEARLY CDMA.

As you shouldn't... Sprint's network is nationwide for all of the US, PR is pretty much part of the US as well.
