Talking Re: Puerto Rico Sprint User's Be Aware

Hi: I turned on Rev.A yesterday, and its working perfectly. I tried it in the following areas: CataƱo, San Juan and Guaynabo. Still don't know the effect on the battery life, but it seems to be the same in Rev.0 and Rev.A

Re: Puerto Rico Sprint User's Be Aware

TECHNOLLIC, It has been about 9-10 hours since i unplugged my phone from the charger, and its still at 60%. I have made about 5 calls, updated my weather and send/recieve my email, in the email tab, about 2 times. Also watched youtube for about 5 min and watched a .avi movie for about 5 min. Thats about it, also note that I have applied the registry tweak for the battery refresh time to 20000 decimal. If you have a problem you can always change the signal to work only in 1x, that will give you almoust 2 days of battery life, from my experience, and about a full day in Rev.0.

Re: Puerto Rico Sprint User's Be Aware

Thank u for your answer, Osva, when I had my diamond this post did not exist so I did not know about enabling or disabling Rev.A & sprint tech support had no clue on what was happening with my phone.
tspideyr, when I do get my diamond back I will try what you said, also what battery fix are you refering to? Do you have a link to it or the cab file.

Re: Puerto Rico Sprint User's Be Aware

The Rev. A is working for me since yesterday without problems. Last week I spent the weekend at Old San Juan and the battery lasted almost 2 days with casual use, web browsing for at least an hour and email checking. Usually my Diamond only last a day of the same usage. The only difference is that the reception where I live and work is not that good. I live in Manati and work in Arecibo. By the way it's my second Diamond because my first one the battery only lasted 4-5 hours and had to fight with Sprint for a replacement.

Re: Puerto Rico Sprint User's Be Aware

Hey Antrax, do you think that the patch/fix that sprint did on the tower software is what is making your diamond work better or is it that your new diamond is build better. I went thru 3 diamonds & none of them worked, I'm thinking that the first batch of diamonds were lemons. By the way I live next door on St. Thomas. Since our sprint is managed by PR your problems are our problems. I am really concerned about battery life, my 3 diamonds would not last 4 hour in a day before I had to recharge.

Re: Puerto Rico Sprint User's Be Aware

maybe I can help a little answering this. My friend actually works for Sprint and has his Diamond since the first day they came out and he had all the known issues. he wasnt getting more than 5 hours on it until I disabled his Rev A. After doing that now he gets almost 2 days of use and on Friday I had him enable his Rev A and he told me its working great. No doubt the patch in the towers had alot to do with not only the heat issues but also the droped calls and no bieng able to surf. My TP is working great now
