Re: How many of you are still using TF3D? How many went back to the normal Today Scre
Thanks for the program, but it only seems to work without tf3d. Tf3d has it's own buttons. Also, is there a way to uninstall this program? It doesn't show up in add/remove. |

HTC really needs to allow complete customization of TF3D. .Someone will eventually capitalize on it, or possibly write something so absolutely slick that noone uses TF3D anymore. I really wish that old company that wrote that eXperience program would come back and write one again for the Diamond. I use to run that thing back on my T-Mobile/ HP 6300. That was a nice Today plugin.

Re: How many of you are still using TF3D? How many went back to the normal Today Scre
With the Diamond being my umpteenth Windows Mobile device, I have become quite used to having the Today screen and wondered if I'd add that to my fear of a hardware keyboard withdrawl when I got this thing.
BUT, I have to say that I've tried to establish a new paradigm about how I use my device, and so far it's working for me, both from a Today screen standpoint as well as a keyboard standpoint. I too, was used to seeing all sorts of things (often too many things!) on my Today screen. Often that was at the price of performance, as I would be hogging up too many resources. The only app I have concern about is Spb Finance - I've always had my Today screen set to display scheduled items, so I could see my next upcoming bill at a glance. Granted, those items come up in a reminder (Spb Finance has it's own icon that shows up at the top of the screen), but I've found that icon doesn't necssarily show up the next day. I've always relied on seeing that next item on the Today screen (for as long as need be) until I paid it. At the moment, I have to make sure I check Finance on a regular basis to ensure I don't miss anything! But I will say that I am enjoying TF3D, as it feels like I'm using something entirely new (even though I know good ol' WM 6.1 is running in the background). I just need to get that flick thing right! Too often I end up opening up a message or a contact that I did not intend to! |

Re: How many of you are still using TF3D? How many went back to the normal Today Scre
I like TF3D, not only because you can tell some time was put into the design, but because it utilizes the video hardware built in to the device.
I think it's a great usable interface, but you can still access all of the standard windows mobile features/programs. I am sure, as time goes on, we will be inundated with alternate options as well as modification abilities with TF3D. |

Re: How many of you are still using TF3D? How many went back to the normal Today Scre
Im ditching the TF3D.. It's a gorgeous, very functional today plugin. However, the amount of memory it uses is ridiculous. I tried running the device without it, and I actually saw the true capability of the device. The device is super fast. Until someone allows more flexibility in it, for it to be used for the very reasons we buy these 600.00 phones. We need lists of our tasks, smaller or larger clocks, and the ability to have our apps we all invested in for many years to be able to be used. Why would HTC cutoff demand for these apps. They are definately a driving force in Windows Mobile market. I know there are a few apps out there that "work" but theyre buggy, or only semi-supported. I've tried a few, and theyre not perfect. Plus you have install an app to be able to configure another app. What a joke.
You would think they would just allow one additional tab for all your utilities/plugins, or the ability to have plugins right on the Home tab. Yeah they have the program tab, but I want to just be able to glance at it, not run it then see get to what I was looking for. Sounds like Sprint is starting to rub-off on HTC with their practices.
