Re: Tethering Fix Right Here!
I installed this cab on my phone with MightyRom 3.8. I can't get it to work on my laptop running Vista. The CONNECT on the lower left is greyed out. I cant connect using my USB cable either. Nothing is going on at all when press connect using the bluetooth or USB option. Any idea as to what is wrong?

Hey there, Also a noob with the tethering thing, and this question may be a stupid one considering the registery changes are probably specific to the sprint network. I'm actually with Telus in Canada, and I'm curious if the program in the first post would work with telus phones? if not, are there any tethering options for telus phones yet so we can avoid the tethering fee as well? Thanks! |

Re: Tethering Fix Right Here!
This actually fixed it for me...
"Actually, I figured it out. Well...someone else figured it out. I read the post that said that one of the changes the tethering.cab file makes to the windows mobile registry is it makes it look for a "Sprint" connection. By default my connection name (and probably yours too) is 'Sprint PCS'. SO...I just simply clicked EDIT and deleted the PCS portion so that my connection was named "Sprint" ONLY." And yes, it was enabled on MightyRom, but I was a dummy and installed this .cab on accident while looking through the stuff I've dled. |

Re: Tethering Fix Right Here!
Maybe this is a stupid question, but why would a Telus user (MightyMike) enable Sprint tethering in his rom?
If you want a rom with Sprint tethering enabled by default, try grooveROM 3. Just plug a grooveROM 3 phone into your computer, press the internet sharing option, wait 15 or 20 seconds, and you're tethering. Done. |
