Re: Internet not working? Possible Fixes!!

Thanks alot for the help.

Your fix has worked fine.
I exchanged my first Touch Pro because the
speaker sounded blown.

After 24 hours of no data access I called customer service
and was told that there was a complete data outage for anyone
who upgraded or exchanged a phone since about 3 pm on 11/14.
???
Then I was informed that there would be no data connection for the next four days.
I was also offered a call.

Also I was informed that a fix would be coming out for the Pro because
there is a software problem were once the Pro makes a wifi connection then it won't
connect to the sprint network unless hard reset.

Re: Internet not working? Possible Fixes!!

so i finally got it working!!!!!

I called tech support, and told them to reset my data. They said "i don't know what that means.... but i can have you turn off your phone, i'll take the data off then put it back on. then you'll turn on your phone"

WELL ISN"T THAT A RESET??? LOL so she did it and then i turned my phone on, still no data...

went into ##3283#, entered my MSL, the hit menu>restore. Rebooted the phone, then updated my profile and BINGO!

So i finally have data

Re: Internet not working? Possible Fixes!!

I just got off the phone with Sprint tech support, she gave my MSL to me as soon as I asked. But, it didn't work? She talked to HTC tech support and they said "bring your phone in and we'll reset it"

I don't get it, why doesn't the MSL work?? It's a 6 digit number right?

Will do, I am gonna have to wait until tomorrow though. I'm stuck at work with no phone charger, it's been a whopping 7 hours, and my phone is dead.

Prolly gonna return this piece

thats how the battery life is on the stock rom... for me its like 8 hours... lets say you don't touch it or use it as a phone or internet, you'll last 12, but whats the point right?

Juicy's Roms are exceptional for battery life... i'd assum juggalo's latest are too

not sure if you ever flashed a rom before, but make sure you unlock first and read carefully what to do... becomes second nature after a couple times

Never done it, but I'd love to try it if it makes the phone run better. Have a link to a thread that is a walk through? One without all the acronyms haha, I barely understand what you guys are talking about!

first things first, don't flash a new rom until you have a data connection! VERY IMPORTANT! I made that mistake and they had to send me another phone.

Here's how to unlock, its pretty self explanitory without many acronyms lol: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=36062

EDIT: I WASN'T AWARE ERIC THE RICER HAD A TOUCH PRO AND THE ABOVE IS FOR DIAMONDS... THIS IS FOR TOUCH PRO http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=42503

Flashing a rom is pretty much the same process, if you get confused feel free to PM me and we'll get you through it.

Juicy's ROMS so far have been best on batter life... version 2.5 from what i've heard is most stable without issues... the upcoming 3.4 should be a killer rom tho...

REMEMBER: since you have sprint, Always flash a CDMA rom because a GSM rom will BRICK(LOCK/FREEZE/BREAK) your phone. Generic CDMA roms mean they are not carrier specific (not sprint, telus, bell, altell) but you'll have to install a carrier cab (created by DCD) which i have attached the sprint carrier cab to this post. after a flashed rom, unzip and place the cab on your device and run it.

Re: Internet not working? Possible Fixes!!

btw, a custom rom will ALWAYS CRUSH a stock/shipped rom. There is way too much bloatware(crap u don't need and just suck up memory and battery).
