So on that note, I think google doesn't have a useable answer for this question, or perhaps I am phrasing the question wrongly.. Personally I am back tracking all the "release" dates on the Mogul and the Touch, to see what the trend was on those and apply it to these releases.

Thanks on the heads up,

P.S if anything it's entertaining.. I mean never look at the clock when you need to be somewhere or wait for something, it slows it down... (the clock)

I understand what your are saying, but we are all just excited about the diamond and the pro. This is not about dotting every I and crossing every T, we are not making a decisions that might get us sued, this is just part of the hype. Whats the point of double, triple or quadriple checking something that has never officially been announced. If I go to the sprint store today to pay my bill and there are two sprint employees in a corner somewhere whispering something about the diamond or the pro then guess what, I would be on ppcgeeks posting what I heard. Is it confirmed? Is it something that I need to double or triple check? No, its just something I heard that may or may not be true which just adds to the excitement of many of us getting one of these new phones. So lets just have some fun and run with it, because at the end of the day most of us will still be going to bed with no diamond or pro.

Let people talk...let them offer their own point of view...offer yours... and if you feel yours is better then explain why but don't belittle other people.

Feel free to have the last word after this if you must, I'm done discussing this with you as of this statement: I will blatantly ignore anything you have to say at this point..
This is nonsense. You're arguing in circles due to the lack of a foundation.
I offered a very well educated and logical opinion. Never once did I spew up incorrect information as "near fact"; you did. You simply fired off a hopeful response based on hearsay. There is quite a bit of differene between my reasoning and yours.

No one here is talking about triple verification. I'm simply offering a logical viewpoint that would strongly influence, and ultimately determine, the choice of so many consumers on the fence regarding the size discrepancy between the CDMA Diamond and CDMA Touch Pro. By the way, the dimensions of the latter have yet to surface...unless you count the "homies".

I will accept your concession but we all know that you can't ignore me. You may wisely choose not to respond...but that's not the same as ignoring me.

Shall I remind you that ol "quarky" made a statement that it was CONFIRMED that the size difference between the CDMA Diamond and CDMA Touch Pro was negligible. So you see, this is not just the run-of-the-mill mindless banter. This information was supposed to be recieved as fact. But of course that statement was erroneously bound from the start seeing as how the dimensions of the CDMA Touch Pro have yet to be released.

I agree. They don't make you change your plan when you reup your contract unless they tell you. Did they tell you they were going to be changing your plan?

Is Verizon releasing the Touch Pro before the Diamond? Reduced spec?

Hey guys... ive been damn upset about this very weakened version of the Diamond that Verizon is releasing vs the stock/Sprint version. Ive been trying to figure out why... is it to save money? is it to save US money and sell it for much less (maybe $200 with contract or upgrade elegibility?) is it because of programming issues?

Then i ran into something that most people might know already, im not sure. In an article on Today.com from Aug12 they list the Raphael being released in the UK as the Touch Pro version with a keyboard. So does this mean that possibly maybe the Raphael being released in the US is the same model and maybe Verizon is possibly skipping they non-keyboard model? I would think not at first, why not release a lighter thinner model? But then i thought that the Touch for verizon sold horribly, and the 6800 is still for sale in some stores where the 6900 is being taken down and was skipped altogether by some VZW stores.

I know the Touch left a sour taste in Verizon and Verizon users mouths. It did mine and a lot of Verizon employees and managers didnt like the Touch at all. Not having a keyboard was a big complaint, (and maybe a scape goat at this point) and after only 2 months of it being in my local official VZW store it was taken off the shelves and didnt look like it was ever there. Ive heard of stores taking the Touch off the shelf while the 6800 was still available, im sure if Verizon compares sales of the 6800 to the 6900 they will see a big difference. I think their are a lot of reasons behind that; the release of the 6900/touch was a year late, the exterior they chose changed the black rubber to a thin white plastic that looked like it would snap if gripped to hard, the Touch seemed easier to break or scratch then most phones (and even most pda phones) but they made the problem worse by using that material and that color. The standard black rubber exterior at least seemed like it would help absorb the shock from a drop the verizon model looked like it would break into a million peices.

Maybe theyre either only releasing a keyboard model OR are putting a bigger emphasis on the keyboard model and possibly releasing it first? Or is this old news?

Re: Does the (verizon) Raphael include a Keyboard? source

Raph has the keyboard, diamond does not.
If they release the "raphael" without a keyboard, its not a raphael, its a diamond.
Whether they release both is unknown, and irrelevant (who really wants to pay VZWs rates?)
