Diamond Release Speculation Thread

I just ordered a Diamond as a new added line to our existing lines. I was told that I would get the rebate and there was no mention of any requirements, but since they didn't ask me about data/text on the new line, I am guessing that when I get the phone and call to activate, that will be when they say I need to get this or that to qualify for the rebate.

I bought it this morning and received all rebates aswell. rep told me they were selling like hot cakes and expects to b sold out by the weekend lol... I already have a diamond folder on my desktop and ill b fillin that baby up and ready to go for my new bling bling! as for now, off to "prepare" for the bears game.

I guess what used to be our small community has grown to into something much larger because anyone not involved in the cell phone underworld would have no idea about the Diamond.

and they didn't and i will.... ef kyle orton, i can't believe he connected on only 1 of 9 passes over 15 yards... pathetic... not even field goal range 2nd half.... ugh

anyways, this isn't the Bears speculation thread lol so i will have my phone on tuesday, weds at the latest... SWEEEET!!!

Time to go buy a slingbox HD for that beautiful 640X480 screen!!!

oooo! I hadn't thought of that! I'm upgrading from a treo 650, so this will open up alot of new apps to me

that raises a question, just cause its a vga screen(not actually HD), does that mean it will be able to play HD content from an HD slingbox?

You will be able to watch HD content although it will never be of HD quality, not because of the screen, but because of the upload speed limitations of your internet connection...

why would it depend upon the connection? If your resolution is higher on your phone, it should seem MUCH clearer... i believe it would depend on how the slingbox converts the picture, and being an hd model, it should be pretty darn nice on a 640480 screen.

i don't know too much about this stuff, so if there is something to do with the speed connection, please explain, thanks.

Slingbox stream rate is dynamic & determined by your upload speed & client connection speed; that said, the pro hd model may have improved encoder to maximize pq, even for ridiculously slow connections, but don't count on it.
