Yea i think it is verizon not playing around when it comes to smart phone hope they might make it hard to stay with sprint if they keep it up and sprint does nothing but stand and watch.

Too many rumors...hopefully we get some more facts in November. I would love to see a Whitestone or HD2 come to Sprint.

Re: Sprint Touch Diamond 2

The only thing that's keeping me at Sprint lately is that that they've had a good line-up of relatively uncrippled HTC WM phones.

If they're holding out for the potentially game-changing HD2/'adonis', then way cool - I can wait for as much as 6 months.

If they continue to dither, stay silent, etc, then I'll leave in Q1 for whoever carries the next cool HTC phone that is upgradeable to WM7. E.g. whoever releases the HD2 in the US first probably gets my account.

And, Sprint - if you're listening, I'm a 10-year private multi-line $200/mo customer paying full boat prices. Not a threat - actually a plea to make a statement & announce something/anything. I'd prefer to stay with Sprint, but fear I won't have a choice given my geek factor.

I totally love this post man right on but you said you can wait atleast 6 month so does that me nov and counting dec as 2 of the months? Or you meaning starting in jan lol but iam with you all the way. I got so desperate that i was thinking for just getting the hero but that would mean i have to forego the 3.6 inch or 4.3 inch screen and that would not work for me even was thinking about the new samsung moment but can’t bring myself to pull the trigger. You know i will give it to sprint they have been getting really good phone but the problem with some of us is that were pros when it comes to some of these phone and there almost stock now when you think that there are 1 gig processors now. At this stage all the new htc are out dated we want more now your right about the 6 months sprint need to understand there are alot of power users now. What makes me so sad is verizon is starting not to look so bad now maybe we should be paying outrageous prices?

6 months sprint thats all i have not like you guys dont know what we want

Agree with all your observations, and applaud your loyalty to Sprint.

Did you see today's news regarding T-Mobile USA? They plan to carry the HD2 in time for the Holidays(*this* year's holidays ). Click over to this story, and be ready! http://www.engadgetmobile.com/2009/1...or-november-9/

EDIT: Of course T-Mobile is a GSM carrier, but HTC phones always support CDMA soon thereafter.

For me, there's pretty much no leaving Sprint, as I simply cannot get a better deal on any other carrier: 2 lines, unlimited data, 500 minutes apiece, no texts, evenings & weekends at 7pm for $65/month(SERO) after taxes ... Hmmm ... wait I think that can be improved!

Yes, the HD2 is incredible, and I'm sitting by watching all the attention the TP2 is getting, thinking to myself: "Is the TP2 that much better than the TP1???"

I'm waiting for it to drop on Sprint as well. And yeah, FM radio better be available one way or another.

The tp1 have the processor as the tp2 so hardware wise i dont think your missing much other than the 3.6 inch screen. I do think thats a big difference but what do i know. And it would seem that t mobile and verizon are not playing around anymore when it comes to smart phone i mean list of phone to come just from the rumors alone makes me angry. I heard verizon is going with a new banner now something about we have the best network and the best phone and sprint is no where to be found. I dont want to leave sprint i have free unlimited web incoming call unlimited text and pic mail night and weekends at 5 free telenava mobile to mobile for 39 or 40 bucks and it pains me to the bone but something got to give . All we need is an android or wm 7 or both with a 800 meg to 1 gig processor with a 3.8 to 4.3 inch screen touch flo 3d 2.6 or sense ui I mean damn do i have to make it myself did i leave out anything anyone fill me in with what else we want in a smart phone its not that hard to do sprint. T mobile got the edge on most new phone cause they are gsm but please and then what happens when at&t lose the iphone will they out do sprint to just a question ??????

I have exactly the same setup with 2 SERO lines. But Sprint seems to be slowly squeezing those out. My guess is TP2 may be the last SERO phone. That's why I actually prefer a TD2 because if HD2 is a big splash then it will be on the new "Everything Plan" only for sure. A TD2 may stay below the radar like the TP2 did. I'd like one more year with a new phone on SERO. But the TP2 brick is the only choice.

It's a good thing you just mention that is this how its going to be every cool phone or dear i say smart phone sprint get you will have to change to the simply everthing plan. Its not even everything cause you dont get unlimted voice but oh well and what if you have all that already in the plan you have any way why should you have to have an everything plan i get it all for 40 bucks why pay 69 for the same thing and can they really make us all switch plans like that. What if you upgrade an older phone cause its broken or got stolen and they dont carry it any more.
